Bethany Branch Library Anniversary Celebration

Lincoln City Libraries is celebrating 50 years of service at its Bethany Branch Library. Two events have been scheduled to celebrate the anniversary:
Saturday, March 13th, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. an open house will be held with Mayor Beutler, Councilman Emery and Library Board Member Marlene Cupp speaking at 1 p.m. The community is encouraged to stop in and see the newly refurbished facility.
Monday, March 15th, 4 p.m., children's book author Helen Lester, best-known for her Tacky the Penguin books, will present a short program for children and families and will be signing copies of her books - bring your own or purchase copies at the event.

Summer Writing Workshops
Apply now to participate in this summer's I Love to Write workshop for 2nd through 5th graders, or the We Love to Write workshop for 2nd through 5th graders and their adults!
Students in grades 6 through 9 can apply to take part in this summer's I Love to Write2 workshop.
The deadline for applying for all three workshops is April 15!

New Formats Being Added
Lincoln City Libraries announces the addition of PlayStation 3 and Xbox games to its current collection of video games for check-out.
Also, Playaways, pre-loaded digital audiobooks for children and teens, are coming in March.

Writers' Workshop
Gere Branch Library is holding a Writers' Workshop on Wednesdays, April 7 through May 19, 2010 (no workshop May 5) from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Pre-registration is recommended; call (402)441-8560.
